LOCATION & LOCAL INFO

May in Mallorca is usually warm, sunny, and comfortable, with daytime temperatures sitting around the mid-20s°C and cooler evenings around 12–15°C.

Rain is uncommon, so it’s generally a reliable month for outdoor plans, though a light jacket is still useful at night.

Overall, it’s a pleasant pre-summer climate - ideal for events, exploring, or beach time without the peak-season heat.

The official currency in Mallorca is the Euro. You can obtain Euros easily at the bank, post office, airport, or any official bureau de change. However please bare in mind that many places are now cashless so be sure to bring a card that works overseas.

The official Language in Mallorca is Spanish, but many locals have a great level of English.

Mallorca (and the wider Balearic Islands) is in the Central European Time (CET) zone, which is UTC+1 during standard time.

During daylight saving time (late March to late October) it shifts to Central European Summer Time (CEST), or UTC+2.

You must be 18 to drink alcohol in Mallorca.
